In the renovation and expansion project of Lapland Hotels Oulu, the building located next to the hotel was seamlessly integrated into the hotel complex. The project has brought to Oulu a significant and versatile hotel destination, responding to the growing demand for accommodation and supporting the city’s European Capital of Culture year hotel offerings.

The hotel stands out with its strong and distinctive brand, whose story continues in the renewed spaces. The atmosphere is built on lighting, authentic materials, softness and richness, warm tones, and a sense of layering. True to the Lapland Hotels brand, the city-centre hotel also emphasizes northern mystique and tranquility.

Franz designed 96 new hotel rooms as part of the project, along with the renovation and expansion of Oula Kitchen & Bar, meeting and event spaces located in the atrium, and updated reception and lounge areas. A special feature of the project is the Italian restaurant Il Puro, located on the ground floor, where Lapland’s pure ingredients meet the passion of Italian cuisine. Together, the hotel’s functions create a holistic and immersive experience.
